Original photography (PLANNING)
We chose to take our pictures at Waterloo and along the river. We wanted to take our pictures in a graffiti area so it appealed to our audience, for example the underground theme. Some of the pictures were taken along the River Thames, to show iconic London and target our audience. The images are purposeful as we have a wide selection to choose from when selecting images for our covers, contents and double page spreads. Costume is important to represent the genre in a way, the military boots show the indie genre and the jeans show the underground genre, the heels and boots could attract the fashion side of the magazine readers. Make up was used to make the faces of the artists not look so pale and bold eye make up was used so their eyes would stand out and capture the audiences attention.
